3 projects done!

so there we have it...! 3 of my projects done and it only took me until just before 8am haha 0__o
now i've just got to post these and hope he's not annoyed they will all arrive about the same time, and then get cracking on the last 3 (or however many i actually get done seeing as zoe said she only got 4 in last year and the repercussions weren't bad at all)

i'm already most of the way through the little Bad Week book, so that i can definitely finish tomorrow...just the other 2 i was thinking of...
either:
  1. a largish drawing of somewhere nice in shrewsgay
  2. collage work based on the ridiculous amount of magazines i've bought
  3. silhouette portraits of me, melissa and alice
  4. maybe if i go and watch cheesy asian horror films with darryn tomorrow i can take some photos and do something with that to justify going and missing time i should be doing work
  5. a little book of the double exposure/colour filter diana instax photos i've been doing a lot of over summer (i don't care what anyone says, some photography is just illustration with light and chemicals)
aghh, going back to ldn on sunday morning to hopefully get home for this year sorted finally, i hope i don't have to stay for long, i have like a week until the deadline (maybe, coz nobody seems to know for sure), and i'd like to get six projects done to be honest

there's the made tights book and the packaging for posting it! i rather like this one :)

lucy postcard, done from a drawing i felt compelled to do when she was djing in alice's room and i was feeling somewhat lean! haha
i recommend you check out her blog, it's awfully good (address on the back of the postcard ya know)
here we have the parcel packaging for my train book. i really want to send more snailmail, it's so nice wrapping things up in brown paper and thread :)

the second book is about ripped tights. i do rather like ripped tights. there's already a couple of the images scanned and posted on here, seems ridiculous that i'm only just getting this book done when i had half of the pages done months ago. i am a fool.
so here's the first of my summer projects that's actually ready to be sent to martin, i'll post it tomorrow morning. i should have scanned it to show it properly, but i bound it before i thought of that haha 0__o
it looks bad on the photos, but it's not quite that bad in person

things like this don't translate well when you can't see the detail. there's lots of weeny lines and the colours are nice, honest.
it's basically doodles that i did while killing time waiting for/on trains recently. i feel like i'm always travelling. this could have been executed a million times better but meh. i would have liked to have screenprinted them or something maybe..

all bound together into a little book.
i do rather love making books.

i don't know why i didn't scan these before i bound them though, they look proper shite through my mac camera doobery, you can't see any detail at all, and the lines are really all they have going for them! aha

Thursday 2 September 2010

i used to draw faces all the time... i don't know why i don't anymore :/
i feel out of practice.

so, as is often my wont when i feel like uploading work i've done but can't be bothered to go turn on the scanner and have it make loads of noise, i am posting a few old things i never got around to putting up in the past.
here's some photos from New York last winter. i want to go back again so bad. i still can't believe my reportage sketchbook from that week is lost forever :(
a curse on the house of whoever is responsible for it being lost/thrown away/stolen from the studio. part of me still holds out hope that they will have had a massive clean over the holidays and it might have turned up somewhere. extremely unlikely.
